Leeds Heliport is located inside the Leeds/Bradford CTA (Class D Airspace) half a mile North of the airport itself. We have an excellent relationship with Leeds Air Traffic, so if you are planning on visiting us please read the following information carefully so that we can keep it that way.
Landing at Leeds Heliport is strictly by PPR, all visiting aircraft must book in by telephone prior to arrival. Failure to do so will result in a landing fee and may even result in you being turned away.
Once booked in study the map here and choose the most direct route through the Leeds Zone to Leeds Heliport, direct routings are not normally given.
Upon first contact with Leeds Approach (123.750) pass your details and request zone entry via the route chosen from the map to Coney Park. Once clearance has been given proceed as instructed by Leeds Approach. Closer to the airport you will be switched to Leeds Tower (120.300), remain with them until complete at Leeds Heliport.
If you are visiting for a rotors running refuel it is necessary to provide additional information when you book in for PPR. This will enable us to liase with Leeds Air Traffic on your behalf to ensure they have the required information to issue your departure clearance on completion of refuelling. Booking out over the radio is not acceptable.
