Aerial Photography

Helijet Aviation offers a superb platform for aerial still photography in the form of a Bell 206 JetRanger. The versatility, performance and reliability of this machine are legendary. Suited particularly for oblique (45 degrees) aerial photography, it is possible to remove front or back doors to give almost unrestricted angles, or shoot through sliding windows if you prefer.

If your task is over hazardous areas or over water we can also offer an AS355 Twin Squirrel: with two engines this machine gives improved performance and a greater margin of safety, it is considered to be the ultimate platform for aerial photography.

If you are a client who requires a photographer to undertake aerial work for you then we work closely with Peter Smith Aerial Photography. Peter is a specialist aerial photographer and video cameraman with over 20 years experience, he is widely regarded as an expert in his field and suitably qualified, insured and accredited.

His client list includes: The Environment Agency, BBC News, many national newspapers, construction companies and local Authorities. During the floods of 2000 we flew him on many occasions, often in difficult and demanding conditions and returned with some spectacular footage of the events - that was quickly in demand from broadcasting companies/media agencies.

Helijet and Peter Smith work closely together and will be happy to offer a competitive quotation for your requirements, which may be for high quality large format film shoots, digital photography or press work.

Recognising that work of this nature is often required at very short notice, we are able to respond quickly to clients' demands for aerial images, and can usually be airborne in under 2 hours, shorter if we are already on task, or if less equipment is to be fitted.
